Chilie Pepper and onwards!!!

This past weekend, the Tiger’s Cross Country Team, embarked on a journey to Fayetteville, Arkansas to run an amazing race. The popular and infamous race there is called the Chilie Pepper Invitational 10K (6.2 miles) race. The Men’s Collegiate 10K race started at 9:45 am. At this race there were a lot of schools, 31 to be exact, but not just any schools, Division I, II, and III schools were there from all over the country. Our men’s team finished 15th and beat some top DI schools in the race. Now, for our conference championship race next weekend, we only run an 8K, but this was a good indicator to tell what the team needs to work on before conference. I was so excited to be able to race, although I was disappointed in my performance, I did the very best I could do that day. The course was very scenic and beautiful, although it had rained earlier that weak, and were part on the course where you had to run in complete and utter mud filled pathways. Nonetheless, this did not slow any of us down, and we kept pushing harder to get to the finish line no matter what obstacles we faced. We are now preparing to win the conference title, qualify for regionals and then nationals as a team. We can do and we will do it.
